Sweden Military Event

History in motion — maintained by those who care

Holmens Military Events is built on a passion for military history and the outdoors.
Founded by Jens Hedström in 2017, it began as a way to share that passion with others.
What started as small gatherings has grown into a place where history is experienced, not just observed.
Today, it stands as a space where machines, stories and people come together.

Our Story

Jens Hedström has always been driven by curiosity and invention. From a young age, he was building, testing and learning by doing—constructing his first “gun” at just 7 years old, and even building a small airplane at 12 that he managed to fly across the yard. Growing up surrounded by hands-on work, he developed real skills early on as a welder, mechanic and electrician, working alongside family.

That foundation naturally evolved into a deep passion for restoring old military machinery. What others saw as scrap, Jens saw as potential—tanks, vehicles and equipment brought back to life as working pieces of history.

In 2017, he founded Holmens Military Events with a simple idea: to share that passion. Not through static displays, but through real experiences—letting people see, feel and understand these machines in action.

After years of hosting successful events and gatherings for enthusiasts, the vision took its next step. On January 24th, 2026, Holmens opened its dedicated military museum—a place where history doesn’t sit behind glass, but lives, moves and is shared.

The goal remains the same: to make history come alive, and to bring people closer to it in a way that feels real.
